Creating What I Needed: The Origin + Impact of Deep Work Immersions

The space I needed. The healing I now offer.

There was a time when I thought insight alone would set me free.

I had done the therapy. I could name my patterns. I could explain my childhood, track my triggers, and talk circles around my coping strategies — but I still didn’t feel free.

Not in my body. Not in my relationships. Not in my life.

There were patterns I couldn’t think my way out of — because they weren’t living in my thoughts. They were living in my body.

Coming Home to the Body

My healing truly began when I started listening to my body’s signals.

Tightness in my chest, the clench in my belly, the tension in my head - goodbye migraines. The subtle ways I held myself to feel safe, accepted, and grounded.

I began to understand how certain parts of me — protective, adaptive parts — had taken on roles and beliefs to help me survive.

Roles like: The Good One. The Helper. The One Who Never Makes a Fuss.

They were helpful - until they weren’t.  And I saw how those parts, while well-intentioned, were keeping me from fully inhabiting my truth. They played a role and now that role was not needed anymore.

I Needed More Than 55 Minutes

I remember how often I’d just begin to settle into a therapy session — only to feel the clock ticking down. The very moment a part started to soften… I was already being guided toward closure. My parts were use to being busy and keeping me in a state of constantly moving.

Slowing down was a huge part of my healing.

I needed more space. More time.

Time for my nervous system to slow down. Time for my parts to feel safe enough to come forward. Time to let the process unfold — not be rushed.

As I deepened into my own somatic healing, I started noticing how my body responded when it was given more space. Not just cognitively, but physically — I could breathe differently, feel more clearly, access parts of myself I’d never felt safe enough to meet before.

I began seeing this in my clients, too. So often, they were just beginning to settle… Their shoulders softening, breath deepening, a part finally peeking out — and then the session would be over.

I realized: they needed more time, too.

I Created Deep Work Immersions Because...

I didn’t want to keep grazing the surface.

I wanted to support people in a way that could truly create change — deep, embodied, lasting change.

I needed a space that wasn’t rushed. A space that wasn’t about fixing, but about feeling.

I wanted people to heal, not just cope.

To feel better, yes — but also more whole. To live more fully in their bodies and lives.

For the part who didn’t just want tools — she wanted to be seen. Who didn’t just want coping strategies — she wanted change that started from the inside. To become the truest, most aligned version of themselves — because when we do that, we show up with more compassion, presence, and patience in every space we touch.

This is how healing ripples outward.

I created Deep Work Immersions to offer the kind of space that allows that level of healing to unfold.
